About Us

Founded in 1963, Indianapolis Jr. Academy provides a well-rounded educational program with emphasis on spiritual, mental, physical, and social development. Our teachers are dedicated Christians who desire to prepare children academically and socially in an accepting environment where Christian principles are modeled and taught. The teachers enjoy enhancing the curriculum with thematic units, hands-on activities, and field trips to interesting places in our area. We currently offer grades Pre-K to 8th.

Indianapolis Jr. Academy is an excellent place to receive quality Christian education with close relationships and a "family feeling" not found in larger schools. The average teacher to student ratio is 1 to 15.  Art and P.E. classes are taught each week. We have a library with many new materials added each year, along with a computer lab and each classroom has computers for student use. Each student in 7th and 8th will also have access to an iPad, that they will use for the entire school year.

Indianapolis Jr. Academy is a part of the Indiana Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and is under the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Educational System. Our teachers are certified by the State of Indiana and the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists. Our school follows state guideline such as safety and days in session.  We are accredited with the North American Division of Seventh-day Adventists and the National Council for Private School Accreditation.

Parents play an important role at Indianapolis Jr. Academy by participating in the Home & School Association, through which they are involved in planning the activities that directly affect our student body. Some parents enjoy working with individual classrooms and others prefer to work with the sports program. There are opportunities for everyone to be a part of their children's education!

Our school offers a Bible-based curriculum, and we are accredited by the Accrediting Association of Seventh-day Adventist Schools, Colleges, and Universities and the National Council for Private School Accreditation.
